The Application Process

Step 1: Pre - Application

Fill out our short pre-application form below to let us know you’re interested in learning at Shapell’s.

Step 2: Chat with a Rabbi

After you submit the form, a member of our team will reach out for a brief conversation to get to know you and answer any questions.

Step 3: Full Application

If the program aligns well with your background and goals, we’ll provide the full application to continue the process.

Eligibility and Prerequisites

  • We are open to both single and married participants.

  • We are open to adult students of all ages, though most students are 20-35.

  • We have opportunities for part and full-time students in our regular program. We also offer a separate 1:1 Executive Learning Program.

  • With few exceptions, candidates have an academic or professional degree, or the equivalent life experience.

  • Our core program accepts Jewish students who have made at least a basic commitment to traditional observance.

  • A rudimentary ability to read (although not necessarily understand) Hebrew is a prerequisite
