Beyond the Classroom

Regular Shabbatot and holidays in the Yeshiva give students opportunities to connect deeply to their rebbeim and their families, along with their fellow students and help to build the practical foundations for observance through authentic and meaningful programming.

Students enjoy tiyulim that explore the heritage and beauty of the Land of Israel, while fostering camaraderie amongst the students and rebbeim.

Students develop their leadership skills and commitment to servicing others by contributing to the Yeshiva through toranut and work-study opportunities.

Shapell’s students make friendships for life and often settle in communities with strong alumni support.

Campus

Situated close to the Central Bus Station and Light Rail in the beautiful Beit HaKerem neighborhood of Jerusalem, the Yeshiva offers comfortable on-campus housing for unmarried students and two married couples. The nearby neighborhoods of Kiryat Moshe and Har Nof are home to many rebbeim and alumni families happy to invite students for Shabbat and holiday meals.

“Gemara has become more vibrant, Rashi substantially more precise and meaningful, Tosefot accessible, and my reading skills much better. My Hebrew grammar went from bad to decent. My overall life got more organized, enjoyable, and directed. I’m grateful for what I’ve learned here and for this amazing experience!”
